Electric Vehicles and Advanced Technology

Plug-in Electric Vehicles and Advanced Technology Vehicles, like hybrids, are currently available for use by commercial and municipal fleets.

Electric Vehicles (EVs), include all-electric vehicles, also called battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). These vehicles use batteries to power one or more electric motor and use electricity to charge their batteries.

Advanced Technology Vehicles (ATVs) are defined by the U.S. Department of Energy as vehicles that combine new engine, power or drivetrain systems to significantly improve fuel economy. These include hybrid power systems and hydrogen fuel cells.

EVs and ATVs are increasingly being adopted by public and private vehicle fleets in New Hampshire. There are myriad tools and resources available to help you do the same!
