Clean Cities Projects

Providing alternative fuel- and technology-neutral support to New Hampshire fleets and businesses.

GSCCC provides alternative fuel- and technology-neutral support to New Hampshire fleets and businesses through education and outreach, grants management and event coordination. The Coalition also provides planning support and technical assistance to New Hampshire fleets and businesses that have transitioned or are interested in transitioning to alternative fuels (e.g. propane, natural gas, biodiesel) and/or advanced technology vehicles (e.g. electric, hybrid).

For the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Program project year, which runs April through March, GSCCC performs activities in these categories:

an alternative fuel school busAFV Incentive and Compliance Coordination Efforts

Work with NHDES colleagues to administer the State Clean Diesel Grant Program, which is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency's Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) program. Provide targeted guidance to public/private fleets, businesses and municipalities about how DERA and/or other federal funding can help meet their clean transportation goals. Assist public/private fleets, businesses and municipalities with project development and/or application submission utilizing relevant Clean Cities’ tools and resources.

Support project development and the administration of funding related to alternative fuel vehicle infrastructure on New Hampshire corridors and/or in New Hampshire communities through program promotion or webinar/event development.

Plan, promote and execute alternative fuel/advanced technology vehicle meetings, events, conference sessions and/or workshops.

Collaborate with neighboring northern New England Clean Cities Coalitions (Vermont and Maine) to plan, promote and execute medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) electric vehicle (EV) technical demonstrations. These demonstrations will provide general orientation and/or training for MHD EV fleet applications in support of the advancement of MHD EVs in our region.
